- California Senate Bill 1162: Pay Transparency and Reporting Requirements — Governor Gavin Newsom signed Senate Bill 1162 (SB 1162) into law on September 27, 2022. This bill expands current pay transparency and reporting requirements for California-based employers and those hiring in California, including credit unions.
- Reminder: Holder Notice Report Deadline for California Credit Unions — California credit unions are also reminded that Unclaimed Property Holder Notice Reports are due to the State Controller’s Office (SCO) before November 1, 2022, for accounts and property with no activity for the past three years.
- FinCEN’s Final Rule on Beneficial Ownership Reporting — On September 29, 2022, the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) issued a final rule implementing the bipartisan Corporate Transparency Act’s (CTA) beneficial ownership information (BOI) reporting provisions.
- National Credit Union Administration’s 2022 Diversity Self-Assessment — The NCUA is encouraging credit unions to use the Credit Union Diversity Self-Assessment to identify areas and challenges when implementing its DEI program.
- Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Released HMDA Data Report on 2021 Mortgage Lending — The CFPB released it is 2021 Mortgage Market Activity and Trends report based on information submitted under the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA).
