The newly elected California Assemblymember Lori Wilson (Assembly District 11) recently sat down with local credit unions for a meet-and-greet event at Travis CU's headquarters in Vacaville.

Wilson was sworn into the assembly on April 6 after winning her special election for the district, which was vacant due to Jim Frazier’s resignation. AD 11 represents parts of Contra Costa, Sacramento, and Solano counties.

Notably, Wilson sits on the Assembly Banking and Finance Committee, Assembly Privacy and Consumer Protection Committee, and Assembly Appropriations Committee.

Attendees discussed various issues relating to credit unions, including the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), public banking, financial literacy, housing affordability, financial health related to quality of life, and other pending legislation.

The California Credit Union League looks forward to working with Wilson and continuing to share the credit union difference!

A special "thank you" goes to Travis CU for hosting the meeting at its headquarters, as well as Patelco CU, Golden 1 CU, and 1st Northern California CU leaders for attending!
