California Credit Unions Donate $22K to Ukraine's CU System

Nearly $22,000 has been contributed by five California credit unions to the Ukrainian Credit Union Displacement Fund, which was recently established to send support to Ukraine's credit union system and help those most in need.

Those credit unions include California CU, Patelco CU, SchoolsFirst FCU, SESLOC FCU, and Yolo FCU. You — too — can donate by clicking here!

Their combined $22,000 in generosity and support has helped push the fund's total balance to more than $227,000!

The fund was created by the Worldwide Foundation for Credit Unions (WFCU) in partnership with the World Council of Credit Unions (WOCCU). World Council is leveraging its global network to identify the immediate priority areas where funding can be used to support displaced credit union members and staff. PLEASE consider having your credit union contribute and/or promoting the effort to your staff or members.

Overall, monies will directly support mitigation of both short and long-term impacts to Ukraine's credit union system, including displaced credit union employees and members who are most in need during this time of global crisis (as well as challenges the country's credit union system faces over the long term).

The California and Nevada Credit Union Leagues would like to thank and applaud those who have stepped up so far!
